This paper presents a road network dynamic OD matrix estimation model using real-time link traffic counts. First, the paper establishes a generalized least squares (GLS) based dynamic OD matrix estimation model, then the dynamic traffic assignment (DTA) technology is used to estimate the link-use proportion matrix. According to the model, a bi-level iterative algorithm is designed to solve the estimation problem. Finally, a case study illustrates that the dynamic OD estimation methodology can traced the variation of network OD matrices well, and produced more precise estimation results.
