There is no standard definition for the term "transportation sustainability," and most researchers try to integrate its economic, social, and environmental impacts into consideration when making an evaluation. The author developed indicators and metrics around these aspects and used several key indices misinterpreted by mainstream reports to prove that China's transportation system is moving towards sustainability.
