Slot allocation is to perform the flight schedule on a strategic level. The existing optimization methods of slot allocation mainly consider the necessary operating restrictions of airports from the perspective of airlines. It leads to the unreasonable spatial and temporal distribution of the adjusted flight schedule and the severe delay. In this paper, from the perspective of airline, airport, and air traffic control, a flight slot optimization model for large crowded airports is proposed that aims at minimizing the displacement from airline request time slots. We consider the corridor capacity of the airport terminal area and the minimum release time interval of the air route for the first time, in addition to the necessary airport constraints like airport capacity and turnaround time. The proposed model is validated with Shanghai Pudong International Airport data. Results show optimized flight schedules have more reasonable spatial and temporal distribution and can reduce flight delays.
