A reliable procedure which correlates the source of the tunnel with the vehicle interior noise, and artificially reduce the tunnel noise leaving primarily the vehicle interior wind noise, is presented. This procedure has the potential to reduce the tunnel background noise for use in wind noise testing without the need to instrument the tunnels with costly equipment like acoustic panels or improved fan systems.
