Current commutation within DC motors is modeled in a realistic manner. Brushes and collector segment dimensions as well as electromotive force induced in motor coils in function of rotor position are considered. This modeling effort makes it possible to clarify the influence of the inter-segments spaces on high frequency oscillations.
