In many space projects, the microgravity and microdynamic requirements have been imposed to ensure that the spacecraft system shall operate such that the limit vibrational environment is not exceeded during a desired time period. The Alena Spazio microgravity/ microdynamic test facility has been conceived to allow the experimental characterization of the microgravity and microdynamic environment induced by structural vibrational sources using the indirect interface force measurement technique. In this article the test facility will be described and the theoretical basis needed for the mathematical calculation of the disturbance forcing levels will be explained. Finally, the performances of the test facility in terms of background noise levels, frequency range limits will be summarized and the future development will be indicated.
