Compared to other battery systems the Lead Acid battery has the low specific energy and performance data. But because of its reliability and being the only battery system which is produced in series now, more than 80 % of all sold electric vehicles are equipped with this battery system. The 'dryfit traction Block' is one of the most successful Lead Acid Batteries for electric vehicle application. 8 years field experience confirmed the reliability and durability of the dryfit technology. Based on this experience further improvements have been made. This paper describes the technical figures of the new 'dryfit electric vehicle'. It reflects the advantages in terms of construction, design and performance. The range has been extended to lower capacities to meet the requirements of smaller vehicles like bicycles and scooters. A rough overview of the energy delivering system shows the motive power battery is a link only of this system. The motive power battery can't work properly if one part of the system fails.
