A quasilinear analyis method is presented to examine the high-frequency performance characteristics of a passive hydraulic mount in a vehicle model. This method incorporates the cross-point dynamic stiffness spectra of an engine mount, measured from component testing, directly into the frequency response functions of the vehicle model. In comparison with a low-damping rubber mount, the passive mount exhibits high-frequency (beyond 150 Hz) performance problems associated with vehicle noise, vibration and harshness criteria. In addition, the low-frequency performance features and limitations of the passive mount are also identified through quasilinear analysis.
