The electrically propelled vehicles can offer a contribution for the environment protection and for energy resources conservation. The electric traction can be integrated in various kinds of system configuration and components, originating different types and categories of vehicles and applications. According to the mission requirements, pure electric, hybrid or dual mode systems can be conceived, in which the drive train can be supplied by different types of energy sources, including storage batteries and thermal engines. The system components can be defined and shaped in accordance to integration requirements in the vehicular structure, thus allowing particular design solutions which can also have impact on the vehicle control and behaviour.
