The recent progress of chassis control technology is remarkable and ABS, 4WS, Electronic Controlled Suspension etc. have been developed to improve vehicle dynamics. However, the simple combination of these systems dose not always provide well-balanced vehicle dynamics as a whole. Therefore, the vehicle equipped with the Active Hydropneumatic Suspension and Active Four Wheel Steering (A-4WS) using a yaw velocity feedback control algoritm has been developed and produced. And the optimum characteristics in both handling and riding comfort are achieved by controlling these systems harmoniously and integratedly with ABS/TRC. We are confident that our system can make a substantial contribution to Active Safety.
