The underwater welding procedures, dry (local dry spot welding, dry chamber welding, hydrobaric welding, one atmosphere welding) and the wet methods (electric arc water environment welding) are presented. Now a day mostly the stick electric arc welding with the covered electrodes is used. In Europe for the greater demands dry methods are prefered, but in USA the wet methods are applied as well for the greater demands as for the low demands due its economy, simplicity and velocity. The developments of wet methods are tending to higher qualities of covered electrodes and higher qualities of high quality of welds executed up to 100 m depths of water. (Jarc)
