An original design of a shunting locomotive which can be combined with a rotary snowpluogh is presented. The locomotive body is devided into two parts: the upper part with the diesel-electric drive, cooling system, control system, drivers cabine, etc. is mounted on the lower part-truck. The coupling between both part makes possible the rotation of the upper part towards the truck, to make impossible the ploughing of snow on both sides of the locomotive. The locomotive can be used for various operations: snow ploughing, maneuvering, trailing of smaller trains, etc. The rotary snow plough is mounted as a special device, which can be fastly remowed when it is not us. The detailed description for the diesel-electric drive, the turning mechanism, the rotary snowplough, and the electric parts (shuts) for two variations is presented. (Jarc)
