Aim of anti-slip-control-systems is to avoid slip of driven wheels of a vehicle. The anti-slip-control-system guarantees good traction and sufficient lateral guiding force. This requireent arises in particular on surfaces of low frictional resistance. The anti-slip-control-system developed in cooperation by Hella and Audi meets these demands. The control works on the 'select-low'-principle, which means that safe driving is given priority over optimal traction. A main objective of the development was a high degree of driving comfort. The control works to a large extent without disturbing oscillation. An essential requirement for fulfilment of the ambitious aim of this development is the electronic throttle control. The system is suitable for all kinds of drive concepts and may be combined in any way with differential locks of different types.
