Marine gravimeters contain a transmitter which measures the modulus of variation in the force of gravity in the direction of the sensitivity axis and a hydroscopic device which lines up the sensitivity axis with the direction of the true vertical. The movement of the test mass of the marine gravimeter's transmitter is defined by a nonlinear equation. After calculating the average integral value of the output signal in time t, the solution of the differential equation for a regular character of the perturbations when the gravimeter is installed in the hydroscopic stabilizer makes it possible to determine the systematic error as a function of the perturbations.
