During the development of vehicle transmission system, in order to obtain operating state of transmission system, thoroughly study control scheme of transmission system, it needs to acquire, save, display parameters such as torque and speed of shaft. The measurement principles of torque and speed were analysed. A portable measurement system of torque and speed based on virtual instrument was designed, which can be used to measure toque and speed conveniently and accurately. Vehicle experiments were carried out using this system. It shows experimentally that the system has high accuracy and good anti-jamming ability, and the operation is simple. The system can quickly show the dynamic and static characteristics of vehicle shafts operating state and describes directly with the graph form.
