Wireless Power Transmission System(WPT) based on magnetic resonant method with up to 1 kW power transmit capability through 10 to 30 cm gap for charging battery installed on EV has completed for proving evaluation. Square type power Transmitt/Receive Couplers have used . To suppress near-by outside magnetic field, shiled plates have been attached. Simulation result of near-by magnetic field have been evaluated. The power transmit efficiency from output of 13.56 MHz RF amp to the input of battery has achieved around 88%. Wireless Power Transmission System(WPT) based on magnetic resonant method with upto 1kW power transmit capability through 10 to 30 cm gap for charging battery has evaluated. Effect of supression of Magnetic Field using Al plate have evaluated. Single side shield for 30 W principle demo system and double sided shield for 1 kW of proving evaluation system are evaluated. Shielding of Al plate seems effective at behind the plate. We expect better suppression of magnetic field using various figure of metal plate. Power transmission efficiency also measured and get around 88 %. We also expect higher efficiency to improve efficiency of each blocks and also improve control algorithm. We will continue to improve system and hope such WPT which based on magnetic resonant method will become popular way to charge EV. We appreciate Telecom Engineering Center for their adovice and suggestion to mesure near-by magnetic field at their site.
