EMC management for system and equipment is defined and described in different standards generally known and used by manufacturers. Nevertheless, no standard exists for EMl between transmitters and receivers. This is obviously conceivable due to the difference between all types of transmitters/receivers and the necessity to take into account the expected equipment performance to assess compatibility. But EMl must be accurately taken into account to obtain the expected system performances. EMl between transmitters and receivers are not only under the responsibility of the manufacturer who has to define and realize the system. Future users (system performance and implementation) and equipment manufacturers (equipment characterization) have to collaborate to solve EMl problems.
