Although the number of fatal traffic accidents has been deceasing year by year in Japan, further measures are necessary to make the number less than 5,000 by 2012 as mentioned in the eighth traffic safety basis plan. According to the survey for the three hundred accident-investigation cases of traffic accidents in 1997, by ITARDA (Institute for Traffic Accident Research and Data Analysis), most of the errors by Party-A happened in oversight on cognition-stage. This means that, to avoid traffic accidents, improving of the drivers ability to detect indications of dangers is effective. The authors of this report have proposed 'Judgment Line of Brake Initiation' in phase plane of the index (KdB_c) and the gap {D or distance) . It was determine by a test driver's brake initiation in moderate danger levels. The experiments with several subjects in a proving ground (a test course) were conducted and differences among individuals were recognized. In this paper, a method to adapt 'Judgment Line of Brake Initiation' to individual drivers in public roads is proposed. Proposed as in the past, the model of behavior of decelerating of drivers was built in a real car as braking control system and a subjective assessment was conducted.
