This paper consists on the integration of a polymer electrolyte fuel cell (PEFC) stack in an embedded system specifically in the transport applications. The fuel cell is characterised by a low-voltage high-current electrical power device. Therefore, it is obvious that a dedicated power interface is necessary to adapt and fix voltage and current levels accordingly to the application requirements. In our case, the power conversion will be done by a high-frequency-transformer-based DC/DC converter. Our work is focused on a theoretical and practical study of this converter. Control of the whole system is done through a digital signal processor controller. We will also focus on the association of fuel cell stacks with converters and their coupling interests.
