The hot forming process of Al-Mg material and methods suitable for application for extreme forming processes with high forming potential at elevated temperatures are presented EN-AW 5xxx alloys are well suitable for fast hot forming and their hot forming behavior and final properties are described. A new Al-MgX alloy for fast hot forming with good hot formabihty and superior material properties in their final applications is described and tested m a new process of Hot Gas Forming 'HEATforming'.
