The development of pointing systems of the target equipment on the basis of automatic rotary platforms now has especially the great importance in connection with expansion of the scientific researches program on Russian Segment (RS) of the International Space Station (ISS). At ISS given configuration many space experiments which are included in the program of scientific - applied researches, at placing of the equipment onboard can be realized only under condition of its installation on automatic rotary platforms. Automatic rotary platforms (ARP) are intended for orientation and stabilization of target equipment (TE) in space and represent itself the controlled two or three degree gimbal mount of console or centered type. The structure of ARP control system (CS) includes the information-measuring subsystem (sensors and computer), a subsystem of executive units (the platform drive mechanism), and also the various accessory subsystems providing functioning of the platform in flight (the set out drive, the arrestment mechanism, etc). The ARP CS structure and characteristics basically depend on the target problems facing to the scientific equipment, established on a platform. The target problems define the modes in which ARP CS should work, and its basic characteristics. In this work the systems of the target equipment pointing on the basis of automatic rotary platforms (ARP) are considered. Four base ARP types, intended for work at International Space Station (ISS) and other spacecrafts are submitted. Technical requirements to control systems of each type of platforms are resulted, the analysis of scientific and technical progress available in Russia is given, construction principles, structure and instalment composition of ARP base variants control systems are determined.
