The practical solution of current sensor dedicated for high temperature automotive power electronics is described. It bases on the well known compensatory methods, however the selected components allow the operation in temperature of at least 150 deg C. High frequency bandwidth up to 250 kHz is provided by presented structure of the measuring system, while the operational frequency of simple Hall effect based open loop technology is limited to tens kHz. The loses produced by compensatory current can be reduced by special construction of the magnetic core, in which the flux produced by primary current is compensated partially.
