This paper aims to analyze the flow field inside the intake system of a high performance production motorcycle engine. To this purpose a numerical and an experimental analysis was carried out. Specifically, a finite volume CFD code was used while pressure and mass flow rates measurements were taken on a stedy-flow rig. Furthermore, Laser Doppler Anemometry (LDA) measurements were acquired inside the combustion chamber. The comparison between experimental and numerical results was performed, registering a good agreement both in terms of global and local quantities.
