As vehicle brake performances exert a tremendous influence on traveling safety, various brake performance indexes of 220 given minibuses are tested, and the tested data are analyzed statistically in order to determine the optimum fitting distributions and their distributive parameters. At the same time, using the distributive laws and parameters of brake performances, distributive models of given minibus 6 items brake performances are set up, and the models involves probability density function f(x) and distributive function F(x). The result of research shows that the minimum absolute calculating error is 0.23% only, and the maximum 6.24%, so it can be say that model calculating results conform the real sample data highly. The research has great importance in appraising vehicle brake performances truly, improving vehicle brake system design, manufacture, maintenance and repair, revising relevant limit values of vehicle brake safety laws and standards, and assuring vehicle traveling safety. The following conclusions can be drawn: (1) The statistical analysis of a vast amount of sample vehicle actual detection shows that 6 items of given minibus brake performances obey two parameter Weibull distributions, but there are differences in distributive parameter m and eta. (2) The distributive condition and related probability of given minibus brake performances can be described exactly by the statistical models set up, and the calculating results conform the sample actual detected data highly. (3) Of six brake performances researched, RRA is the lowest in sample actual detected certification rate, it is 75.81% only. Because of this reason, RVB decreases correspondingly, and becomes a weak link of vehicle braking. It is suggested to increase the requirement for RRA in brake standard, in order to bring the guiding and forcing actions into full play, improve vehicle brake performances, and decrease the occurrence of road traffic accident.
