Vibrating phenomena in chairlift systems are important and need to be modelled for security and norms reasons. The authors propose to exploit acceleration signals recorded at the top of the vehicle suspension when passing towers and at the entrance/exit of detachable stations. When passing towers, the authors apply blind deconvolution methods to estimate the excitation signal, i.e. to detect the shocks, which allows by comparison to validate an a priori shock model. At the station entrance/exit from a mechanical modelling, the authors estimate the vehicle motion (tilt and speed), which can be compared to the characteristics expected from constructor data. This allows to detect eventual deviation from design characteristics.
