The interaction of an electromagnetic wave with a plasma stream of a space vehicle electrojet thruster was studied within the framework of the plane- and spherical-layer solid dielectric models. The problem of electromagnetic compatibility of the space vehicle radio systems is significantly complicated by the predicted phenomenon, whereby a solution in the vicinity of a zero permittivity may qualitative change with small variations of the problem parameters. The proposed theory provides for an exact solution of the problem of electromagnetic wave diffraction on two bodies. The results of calculations are presented.
