A high-order model for free vibrations of single curved sandwich beams is presented. Linear equations of motion are derived with the help of calculus of variations. Verification of the model is performed for straight beams via a number of asymptotic cases. It is shown that there exist four eigen-modes for straight and curved sandwich beams. The nature of eigen-modes is clarified, and simple theoretical estimations for the eigen-frequencies are obtained. Free vibrations of the simply supported beams are numerically analysed. The developed model finds its use in the context of various applications of curved sandwich structural elements in the high-performance marine vehicles.
