Low liquid holdup two-phase flow is encountered frequently in offshore natural gas pipelines. Prediction of pressure-loss and liquid holdup in these pipelines is quite important in design of pipeline systems. A lot of correlations for prediction of pressureloss and liquid holdup have been published. However, the validity of these correlations have not yet been evaluated based on a sufficient number of field data. Field data of steady-state, low-liquid holdup two-phase flow were obtained from a 14 in., 32.4 mile offshore pipeline. Six correlations for pressure-loss and eight correlations for liquid holdup have been evaluated using this data. Gas-liquid equilibrium, elevation profile of the pipeline and change in fluid temperature due to heat transfer with the surroundings and the Joule-Thompson effect were considered in calculation.
