Trends in the risk of death from highway collisions, the development of statistical models, and the crashworthiness in highway travel risk assessment are discussed. Injury risk versus occupant age for side impact and frontal impact for drivers, near-side occupants, and passengers lostical models are presented. Accident risk of accident involvent for trucks and various distances traveled versus cab style, and cargo are presented. (Jarc)
