Both the wind tunnel and the computer simulation, modeling and analysis can minimize the risk in the aircraft design. Complex flow mechanisms are easy to be decomposed and tested. Experimental design and computational design are compared on complex grid systems for shape analysis. Computer-generated pressure distributions for canard and wing surfaces at transonic conditions are discussed. New high performance blades for wind power generators and marine propeller blades as peripheral applications are presented. So the CAD procedures can be used for predictions and interpretations of the capabilities of aircrafts. General design stages in aircraft development are presented. (Jarc)
