This paper describes a study of a gas-controlled heat pipe radiator which is compatible with the MAROTS spacecraft and includes the following components: mounting plate provided with 5 thermalizer heat pipes, two bent radiator panels, each provided with 4 gas-controlled heat pipes, thermal insulation blankets for mounting plate and especially for the reservoirs. The temperature of the payload is controlled by 8 axial grooved heat pipes, each provided with a wicked cold gas reservoir system. The radiator design is described together with the results of the thermal analysis performed to support the design. The effects of the solar array, and shadowing from the L-band antenna, on radiator performance have been included in the analysis.
