Phased array antennas are notoriously sensitive to both temperature variations and gradients. At the same time, there is always the desire to operate at as low a temperature as possible. A new and rather novel technique is described which will meet these requirements in an environment ranging from -54 Cel to +125 Cel. In addition, it maintains the antenna at temperatures lower than the ambient without using any electrical power.
