The operational intercommunications system at the John F. Kennedy Space Center, Florida, is a multiuser, multichannel intercommunications system used by operational disciplines to conduct tests and to prepare and launch an assortment of space vehicles. A history of the system is given, then it is described, with explanation of how it meets requirements the most critical of which is stated to be unlimited conferencing capability on all of at least 500 simultaneous communications channels.
