To check remote vehicle-speed sensors of Bar'er-2 and Bar'er types, which work in the 3-cm radio range, they have built a semiautomatic system, the S-2M, which is to be put into regular production. It implements the simulation of simultaneous motion in several vehicles, with independent precision programming of their velocities and ranges, which enables one to perform compound checks, including simulation of one vehicle overtaking another. The range of simulated velocities have been extended, and a wide range of interfering factors can be simulated (noise, interference, and beats arising from interference phenomena), while one can also simulate the signals from real moving objects under real conditions as recorded on magnetic tape. The S-2M also provides for precise simulation of compound signals (in particular, the compound radar signal recorded for example on magnetic tape).
