Robotics is expected to play an importnt role in the construction of large space structures. One possible system would be a multiple-armed manipulator vehicle which could use general-purpose arms to walk over the structure to a construction site and then use the arms for assembly. The simulation of locomotion of such a vehicle with arms modeled after a currently available industrial manipulator is described.
