The general results of Bradshaw and Porter (1), (2) are extended to allow for a computational time-delay of up to one sampling period by a simple modification of the control algorithms. The resulting control algorithms are simple to implement and provide tight non-interacting control. Their efficiency and effectiveness are demonstrated by the presentation of the results of a laboratory microprocessor implementation in which the controllers are required to effect fuselage pitch-pointing and vertical translation manoevres in the case of an analogue computer representation of the YF-16 aircraft.
