Hitachi has developed a solid state DC elevator system, the product of long research on controllers using microprocessors. Microprocessor controlled running control systems conserve power and space in DC elevators, as well as offering accuracy and multiple functions. The group supervisory control block and the individual elevator control blocks in this elevator system employ a duplicated computer system to enhance reliability. At the same time, a relay circuit having a fail-safe function is left to a minimum as far as the safety circuit is concerned, thus enhancing safety and maintainability. In the supervisory control system, the mini-max method is employed for hall call assignment, thus enhancing serviceability, making this the highest class elevator system.
