The development of motorization in many countries has stimulated the growth of car flow in recreational regions. It has exacerbated ecological problems, especially on the sea coast. To deal with this, car flows need regulation at international, national, regional and local levels through planning, organizational and technical measures. This calls for co‐operation between countries with coastal resorts. The paper suggests, for example, international consideration of a coastal distributive road (rocade) from the Black Sea to the Adriatic.
