In this paper, a multi-frame joint optimization method based on an improved particle swarm optimization (PSO) is proposed to solve the problem of the optimal range gate pull off (RGPO) in the environment of radar and jammer confrontation. First, after analyzing the deceiving process of RGPO, the optimization model is established by maximizing the objective function of the average offset distance of range gate. Then Monte Carlo (MC) method is adopted to fit the objective function with unknown intermediate state. Next, a new PSO algorithm based on Equal Resampling top-N (PSO-ERN) is used to solve the proposed optimization problem. Finally, simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed method compared with the traditional pull off method.
