In the urban rail transit transfer station, multi-source detection data from AFC systems, train weighing systems, and intelligent video devices can be applied to estimate the more detailed distribution of passenger flow within the station. This paper first proposes a model for estimating passenger flow in different directions within the station based on the relationships between passenger flows. Further, this paper abstracts the model into a multi-layer hierarchical flow network and introduces the forward-passing and backward-propagation techniques to solve the proposed model. Finally, taking a typical transfer station as an example, the passenger flow in different directions within this station was estimated, and transfer passenger flow was further extracted.
