Abstract Small, non-Geostationary orbit (NGSO) satellites represent an important niche market within the satellite industry. Civil and commercial organizations have launched and will continue to develop these satellites for a variety of missions. In the near future, ILS will be introducing the Angara family of launch vehicles. Different versions of these vehicles to be manufactured at the Khrunichev State Research and Production Space Center in Russia will serve this market segment.
