The work presented here has been developed in the framework of a research project entitled ERA (Environmentally Responsible Aviation, funded by Red.es). The objective is the development of a tool that enables, on one hand the estimation of consumed fuel for aggregated operations and, on the other hand, provides their attached environmental cost in the most likely scenario taking into account the different policies that are being developed to help the decarbonisation of the sector. A fuel consumption model that is able to estimate consumed fuel for a large amount of flight operations has been validated and a tool that translates this fuel consumed into cost within the most probable scenario based on policies has been created. The coupling of both enables the analysis of different future scenarios regarding fuel consumption and environmental policies, thus contributing to gain understanding of the impact on such policies and their viability.
