In view of the problem that the urban residual snow pavement is easy to be ignored and traffic accidents occurred frequently, this paper analyzes and describes the configuration mechanism of snow road surface, and according to its formation characteristics, it uses MATLAB to identify and calculate the percentage of snow covered road surface; and it analyzes the tire slip mechanism on snow road surface, extracts the key influencing factors of adhesion coefficient, and then carries out the design experiment the results show that the adhesion coefficient of the residual snow road is between 0.21 and 0.92. Finally, the relationship between the adhesion coefficient and the emergency braking distance on the residual snow road is simulated by using CarSim.
