The Greek legal framework for space activities, primarily defined by Law No. 4508/2017, establishes foundational mechanisms for the governance of space-related matters. At its core is currently the Ministry of Digital Governance, responsible for drafting and implementing space legislation through specialized directorates, and ensuring a coordinated approach to satellite communications, orbital positions, and space applications; complementing the ministry’s efforts, a national authority, originally the Hellenic Space Agency S.A., was restructured as the Hellenic Space Center under Law No. 4623/2019. The above institutions oversee the regulation and supervision of space activities, underscoring Greece’s dedication to advancing its space policy. Importantly, supporting these efforts, non-profit organizations like the Greek National Committee for Astronomy and the Hellenic Astronomical Society offer academic expertise, while commercial interests are represented by entities such as the Hellenic Association of Space Industry (HASI); together, they drive efficient resource utilization, foster international partnerships, and align Greece's space sector with global developments. This study examines their interconnected roles and contributions.
