Random and unpredictable actuator faults will seriously affect the closed-loop control stability and the string stability of the ICVPS, resulting in collision risk. As a large-scale multi-source complex connected cyber physical fusion system composed of multiple heterogeneous intelligent vehicles, it will not only suffer from physical constraints such as actuator saturation of the vehicle’s dynamic system, but also suffer from complex environmental disturbances such as road slope, wind gust and strong sand, etc. In the physical layer of vehicle subsystem, the loss of effectiveness fault, stuck fault, abrupt fault, periodicity fault and other additive faults caused by actuator equipment such as wheel hub motor and hydraulic cylinder also occur frequently [1, 2–3]. Therefore, it is urgent to carry out research on distributed adaptive platoon resilient control for heterogeneous connected vehicles. While increasing the system’s resistance to actuator saturation and complex environment disturbances, improving the system’s response and resilience recovery ability to faults, and maintaining the strict string stability is the basic problems that needs to be solved.
