With the rapid development of vehicle-road collaboration technology, roadside sensing devices can provide more road information for vehicles such as autonomous driving to ensure road safety. However, unlike vehicle-side sensing devices, roadside sensors involve the integration of multiple systems, which leads to difficulties in spatial synchronization and cumbersome steps between sensors during the fusion process. Therefore, it is crucial to ensure the accuracy of sensor spatial synchronization while improving the efficiency of sensor spatial synchronization process. Although, the current sensor joint calibration technology can also meet the accuracy requirements of sensor fusion, but due to the complex environment of roadside equipment deployment, in order to ensure the safety of the calibration personnel and calibration efficiency, this study proposes a UAV-based spatial synchronization method for roadside sensors to achieve high-precision and high-efficiency spatial synchronization of roadside sensors.
