Regarding fuel production and consumption, the transportation sector contributes about 25% of global energyEnergy use. Ship resistance generated by the hull is one of the main factors affecting fuel consumption efficiency. The internal factor parameters that affect the amount of hull resistance consist of frontal area, appendage area, and appendage factor. In previous studies, research has been conducted on the effect of appendage addition on resistance changes. However, research on the influence of internal factors on changes in resistance of monohull-type ships still needs to be done. Resistance analysis is conducted with the Savitsky method using Maxsurf Resistance software. The hull design with additional rudder appendage is analyzed at several variations of internal factor parameters. The effect of internal resistance factors on the hull is evaluated to determine the parameter type with the most significant impactImpact.
