In the last few decades, paying attentionAttention to the safety of employeesEmployees, as one of the most classical tasks of Human Factors and ErgonomicsErgonomics (HFE), gained a palette of new methods based on advanced Digital Human Modeling (DHM). This chapter shows a case study on a riskRisk assessment performed applying the methods and tools of ViveTech Ltd. for assessing and developing a workstationWorkstations of Grundfos Ltd. The analysis was completed with ViveLab DHM software, and a motionMotion capture device was applied to obtain objective data. Various ergonomicErgonomicsriskRisk assessment analyses were reported from ViveLab carried out with three implemented methods: (1) Rapid Upper Limb Assessment (RULARula), and evaluation of static working posturesPostures according to the (2) ISO 11226, and (3) EN 1005–4 standardsStandards. After the analysis, a motionMotion capture record of the new workflowWorkflows associated with the redesignedRedesignedworkstationWorkstations was made. The motionMotion capture data enabled to evaluate the ergonomicErgonomicsimprovementImprovements of the new workflowWorkflows. Measuring and analyzing the original workstationWorkstations, it became clear that the maximum load was on the spine, due to an inadequate wagon design. With a slight redesignRedesign, the frequent, more than 60° back bendings decreased considerably. Overall, the results confirmed that the redesignedRedesignedworkstationWorkstations concept was indeed a better solution than the existing one, and the worker would be exposed to minimal loads if the changes were implemented.
