Currently, one of the priority tasks in the energy strategy of the Russian Federation until 2035 is to improve the management of the processes of production, transmission, distribution, and consumption of all types of energy resources, which contributes to an increase in the efficiency of the functioning of the fuel and energy complex. In addition to improving energy efficiency in the field of production, transformation, and consumption of energy, it is worth paying attention to the area of planning, organization, and control of the process of circulation of energy resources. During the intensive introduction of digitalization and increasing the importance of information and communication resources, one of the most promising and effective tools for increasing economic efficiency used in world practice is managing the demand for electricity from end consumers. The presented tool is actively used in Western countries, countries of Southeast Asia and has successfully proven itself over the past 30 years of its use. Demand management is most often used by reducing electricity consumption using energy storage devices, etc., adjusting the intensity of the operation of pumping system engines and settings for air conditioning and/or refrigeration systems, changing the production cycle or partially turning off lighting, etc.
