With the progress in rail transit technology and urban agglomeration construction, intra-city rail transit together with inter-city and suburban rail transit provides punctual and comfortable transportation services for trips in the metropolitan area. Considering the interconnected features between different modes, this paper integrates different categories of rail transit networks as a whole, called Multilayer Regional Rail Transit Network (MRRTN). In addition, The measurement of node importance is of great significance on the network performance, particularly considering the characteristics of interconnection. Various network centricity criteria have been applied in node importance, but the shortage that using a single criterion will lead to inaccurate evaluation results. Therefore, combining the existing centrality criteria, a novel method of node importance for MRRTN is proposed in this paper, the Criteria Importance Though Intercrieria Correlation (CRITIC) method is adopted to identify the weights of different centrality criteria, and the Vlsekriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) method is applied for ranking the importance of node. Furthermore, network efficiency and heterogeneity are employed to investigate the effectiveness of the proposed method. Finally, the MRRTN in Chongqing metropolitan, China is selected to illustrate the proposed method. And the CRITIC-VIKOR method achieves more reasonable and accurate evaluation results on multilayer network structure.
